​3-day retreat with Sri Ramachandra

It is possible to attend the two retreats Bhairava Dharana and Shaktodaya in a row. In this way, one  will get 6 days of learning and practise at the ashram.

Bhairava Dhārana is a 3-day sadhana retreat designed to help participants learn about the basics of Bhairava Upasana. This in person sadhana initiative is facilitated by Sri Ramachandra.

With in the fold of Shaiva and Shakta traditions, Bhairava is considered as primary deity whose blessings are sought to establish conditions for emergence or ascent of Shakti.

Bhairava is popularly recognised as protector deity, Kshetrapala i.e the one who protects the field or space. However, ancient spiritual traditions such as Trika system recognise Bhairava as the primal source of all manifestation. Since ancient times His worship has taken myriad forms. Whatever be the form being worshipped , upasana of Bhairava is an integral and necessary component of Shakta-Shaiva practices.

Sadhak facilitating the retreat

Sri Ramachandra Roddam

is an Sadhaka of the Divine Mother. He is an invited faculty who teaches on Indian Spirituality, Yoga and Sadhana.

He is the author of the book Devi Bhakti Tarangini, which is a devotional offering of English poems to the Supreme Goddess.

Currently he is rendering Seva at Sanatan Siddhashram, a traditional Gurukul for the ancient Baul tradition located in Birbhum district, West Bengal.
