at Sanatan Siddhashram, Birbhum, West Bengal, India
Bhairava Dharana 19-21 November 2026. Shaktodaya 22-24 November 2026
Lead by Sri Ramachandra:
I have been conducting these retreats now for several years. Worship, upasana of Bhagavati , the Divine Mother, is central to my spiritual journey. Through these sadhana retreats, i could guide several sincere seekers in completing essential sadhanas to deepen ones connection with the Divine Mother and Bhairava Baba.
These two retreats can be attended independently. However, I have scheduled them back-to-back for a purpose. It is widely accepted in the path of tantra and deity worship that establishing a connection with Bhairava tattva helps build a strong base for deepening one’s sadhana in the realm of Shakti ultimately.
The land of rural Bengal is replete with the energy of Shakti. Sanatan Siddhahsram is also encircled by five Shakti Pithas. This renders the space most fertile to sow the seeds of Devotion unto the Divine Mother.
Bhairava Dhārana and Shaktodaya each are 3-day sadhana retreats designed to help participants learn about the basics of Bhairava or Bhagavati Upasana. This in person sadhana initiative is facilitated by Sri Ramachandra.
*Please note this is NOT an online program.
With in the fold of Shaiva and Shakta traditions, Bhairava is considered as primary deity whose blessings are sought to establish conditions for emergence or ascent of Shakti.
Bhairava is popularly recognised as protector deity, Kshetrapala i.e the one who protects the field or space. However, ancient spiritual traditions such as Trika system recognise Bhairava as the primal source of all manifestation. Since ancient times His worship has taken myriad forms. Whatever be the form being worshipped , upasana of Bhairava is an integral and necessary component of Shakta-Shaiva practices.
Shāktodaya ( Dawn of Supreme Goddess ) - is designed to meditate and practise basic ritual methods to worship Divine Mother, as expounded in traditional paths.
It is possible to attend the two retreats Bhairava Dharana and Shaktodaya in a row. In this way, one will get 6 days of learning and practise at the ashram.

Sadhak facilitating the retreat:
Sri Ramachandra is an Sadhaka of the Divine Mother. He is an invited faculty who teaches on Indian Spirituality, Yoga and Sadhana.
He is the author of the book Devi Bhakti Tarangini, which is a devotional offering of English poems to the Supreme Goddess.
Currently he is rendering Seva at Sanatan Siddhashram, a traditional Gurukul for the ancient Baul tradition located in Birbhum district, West Bengal.
