Dancing Baba at Pashupatinath

 

When I first stepped into precincts of Pashupatinath temple , I had very little idea of what I will discover here. Entering the temple through western gate , you first have darshan of backside of HUGE Nandeeshwara.

 

I think it was aroti time when I stepped in. Right below this Nandi I saw old Baba , sanysasi , dancing to the live music that was being played. This vision very much explained everything about the Svabhava of the form of Shiva residing in here. The one who is intoxicated and in joyous rapture. Baba was dancing slowly but there was no way he was going to stop.

 

After splendid darshan of Pashupatinath and priceless blessings of Unmatta Bhairava , I sat for my dhyana. Baba ji was sitting right behind. Meeting happened spontaneously. It lasted for 15-20 mins. He was joyous all along. Even while enquiring about whereabouts, his eyes were filled with tears of inner joy. Then few times he paused and looked upto the sky, as if beholding a glimpse of Pashupatinath. This made him burst out in laughter.

 

This was the case of complete harmonising with the Devata. Complete attunement with the Devata, so much so that one's being becomes a receptacle of the Devata Bhaava.

Here in this image, to bottom right corner, you will find him dancing. I captured him unintentionally. I was looking at Pashupatinath from the banks of the Bhagmati river and witnessing the funeral ground. Clicked this and saw Baba continuing to dance.

 

He dances in the morning ,

‎in the noon and

‎in the night

‎in ecstatic Joy !
