Unfolding of sadhana

My Guru once told me that as the sadhana deepens, the Deity will make His own arrangements—through me or the people in my life—for His own seva. For example, if the Deity wants a flower to be offered to Him, He will plant that idea in you or the people around you.

When I took the sankalpa for the Kailash Yatra, I initially thought: 'I will do abhishekam today, and then only on Mondays, as office timings may not fully permit it.' The next day was Monday, and I did the abhishekam as planned. On Tuesday, I felt inspired to do it again. And again on Wednesday, too. Since then, abhishekam has become a daily ritual.

Initially, I was using just scented water. Then over a weekend, I felt inspired to use Panchamrit (a mixture of cow's milk, curd, ghee, sugar, and honey) and made the arrangements. On Monday, I realized that preparing the Panchamrit and cleaning up didn't actually take much time, so I could manage it on weekdays too. Now, the Panchamrit and water abhishekam is a daily ritual.

Along the way, I noticed I was buying just one garland of white flowers for my Ishta. I asked myself: 'Why can't I get two, and offer one to Shiva, since He likes white flowers?' A few days later, I found myself seeking out Bilva leaves. I started requesting them from my flower supplier, and she made them available for a Monday sadhana. Since then, I do my best to procure and offer them regularly. Meanwhile, a small Aparajita plant started blooming at home, so now I am blessed to offer home-grown Aparajita flowers to Lord Shiva as well.

Knowing that I am able to make these offerings to Him, while following this beautiful sadhana under Maa’s guidance, fills me with immense peace and contentment. I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity. I feel like my mind is slowly traveling toward the abode of Shiva and Shakti, discovering what Lord Shiva loves, and doing my best to offer it. I look forward to what else this journey will unfold.

I wanted to share this because as we all prepare for the pilgrimage, I pray that the Divine guides each of our steps and makes His own beautiful arrangements for all of us on this sacred Yatra.
